The art of making pottery as a living craft in India still retains its antiquity. To experience the joy of working with clay and know the essence of this craft, VIIS facilitated a one day hands-on pottery workshop on 13th February 2021. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Udaykumar from NIAS Bengaluru and was ably assisted by Sri.Govinda, a rural artisan from Mysuru. 32 members participated with enthusiasm and the clay artifacts made by them were cherished as their keepsakes.
