Chaitrotsava

Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies was set up as a platform for the study and spread of Philosophy, Literature, art and architecture of India for students from all over the world. Structured courses on Culture civilization, Heritage, Environment-Health, Art-Music are conducted in the institute. The Institute has elaborate plans to familiarize the cultural heritage of our country to our youth as well.
In this perspective the event ‘Chaitrotsava’ – was held on the Chaithra Poornima day, the 30th of March 2010 at the Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies, Hebbal . The focus of the program was on the Bhagavath Gita, the repository of knowledge revered the world over. The occasion also marked the release of the second edition of the book titled ‘ VIJAYINI’, the Kannada translation of the Gita in the form of poetry, authored by Dr. Vijayanath Bhat.
